William Shakespeare’s sonnets and stage works overflow with some of the most vivid and vibrant texts ever written in the English language. “Shakespeare and Friends,” our Spring Concert, features texts by Shakespeare, sung by the Heritage Chorale in a wide range of musical styles, with yet more Shakespeare texts performed by talented young local actors. To round out the program, the Heritage Chorale will present music by various 17th-century composers, the very music that resonated in the hearts and minds of Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
