The Chorale's Accompanist \/ Associate Conductor<\/strong> is Kevin Neel \u2013 a Boston-area musician originally from the Charlotte, NC area \u2013 whose extraordinary professional accomplishments as organist, collaborative pianist, conductor, singer, and administrator prompted his recognition in the Diapason Magazine's 2019 Class of \"20 under 30\"<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of young talents in the fields of organ and harpsichord performance, organ and harpsichord building, carillon, and church music.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin is Director of Music and Organist at All Saints, Worceste<\/span>r<\/a>\u00a0where he directs the All Saints Choir (choristers and adults), manages the music series, oversees music education programs, plays the Rice Memorial Organ (<\/span>IV\/132 Aeolian Skinner Op. 90<\/span>9<\/a>), and collaborates with Worcester-area music and arts organizations. Previously, he had a long, meaningful association with Emmanuel Church, Boston, where he was Organist and Chapel Choir Director from 2016-2021, Parish Operations Manager from 2019-2021, and the Executive Director for Coro Allegro from 2016-2019.

Kevin has been heard at the organ in numerous venues including Symphony Hall (Boston), Old South Church, Emmanuel Church, Old West Church, and Methuen Memorial Music Hall, and as a singer with the\u00a0Marsh Chapel Choir<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Emmanuel Music<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Cantata Singers<\/a><\/span>, and\u00a0VOICES 21C<\/a><\/span>. \u200b<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In December 2016, he \u00a0co-founded with soprano Carey Shunskis<\/a>in \u201cet al.,\u201d (formerly \"The Brookline Consort\") where he continues to serve as co-artistic director, baritone, and primary accompanist for this project-based professional choral ensemble. Kevin holds a Masters of Sacred Music degree from Boston University in Choral Conducting with primary professors Ann Howard Jones, Scott Allen Jarrett, and Peter Sykes, and a Bachelors of Music degree from Indiana University in Organ Performance with primary professors Janette Fishell, Bruce Neswick, Jeffrey Smith, and Todd Wilson.<\/span><\/p>\n
