The musical programs included the works\u00a0of Mendelssohn and Lauridsen, African American spirituals, and America\u2019s show tunes.<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0touring Montreal\u2019s Biodome where we viewed multiple world ecosystems, we performed our first Montreal concert\u00a0in the convent chapel in Laval, just north of Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>The performance\u00a0on Saturday night in St. Lambert Parish Church was for a near-capacity audience on a hot steamy night and featured\u00a0additional piano selections by Darryl Hollister, our accompanist. Following the concert, we celebrated Canada Day by watching Montreal\u2019s fireworks display,\u00a0climbing a hill in our black concert dress to get to a good vantage point!<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, we participated in a\u00a0service at Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul where we joined the congregation in singing \u201cO Canada\u201d with powerful accompaniment from the church's organ.<\/p>\n<p>After a stop\u00a0at Montmorency Falls, we toured\u00a0the Upper and Lower Towns of Quebec City before Monday evening\u2019s concert,\u00a0performed to\u00a0an enthusiastic standing-room-only audience in Notre-Dame-de-Jacques-Cartier.
