Heritage Chorale's 75th Anniversary - 2011-2012
75 years ago ...

Since 1937, the Heritage Chorale’s mission has been: to provide excellent choral performances to Boston’s Metrowest area and to provide a deep and abiding musical community for its members. We are proud of our long, continuous history and look forward to maintaining and extending the tradition of fine choral performance in the Metrowest area.

To celebrate our 75th Anniversary, three exciting concerts were planned. The Fall Concert featured Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang, in collaboration with Boston College’s Symphony Orchestra. The Pops Diamond Jubilee Concert presented hit songs from the Chorale's anniversary years: 1937, 1962, 1987 and 2012. The Spring Concert presented a performance of Carl Orff’s much-loved Carmina Burana, accompanied by a small professional ensemble of piano and percussion.

As part of our celebratory year, Chorale members attended a choral workshop and an end-of-the-year social event in May. The culmination of our anniversary celebration was a concert tour to Montreal and Quebec where we shared our music with audiences in both cities and enjoyed the richness of Canada’s Quebec province.
